Reflection on Week 1 of Web Skills Projects

A day after the opening of E-Teaching Program, I directly asked my students to involve in this activity. I instructed them to have an academic blog for each. Exactly each of them has a blog but not the academic one. It means that their blog is just for fun; for showing their leisure activities, such as just for displaying photos or writing romantic words. They have it for fun, so I assigned them to make a new one for academic purposes, especially for Translation Studies in the classroom.
Now they have an academic blog for posting their assignments or homework given by me. I plan to post them assignments of translating projects, then they translate the text I display on my blog posting. In my mind this is a way of the interactive web application in teaching and learning process. The students themselves are very enthusiastic to respond this program. I hope this program can enlighten and enhance the teaching and learning process and product in the future of educational world.

Week 1 Activities

To start Week 1 of AEI eLearning F13 Web Skills B makes me happy but my heart beats rapidly because it is the first time for me as a student to wait the Course open at 10 p.m. in my country Indonesia while in Oregon, USA is 08 a.m. This situation is very different but I enjoy it very much. I visit the Blackboard Learn and search the current information from that web. I am afraid I will be left behind, so I try to search and browse many information related to my course. Preparation of Week 1

Being ready for taking the E-Teaching program is my first step. Week 1 of this program makes me busy in doing some preparations, such opening daily emails, reading some information from UO AEI web, making a new blog, and doing anything that I can do to support my new activity. This program will manage me to spend additional time for acquiring new knowledge in the teaching context. This, especially Building Teaching Skills Through the Interactive Web program can provide me some lessons and experiences to be a professional lecturer in the future.
